Alicia Brooks, 6th/7th Counselor
Ms. Brooks is a native of Fort Valley, GA. She attended Fort Valley State University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in School Counseling. She attended Troy University where she received a Specialist degree in School Counseling. She served as the Graduation Coach/ 10th grade Counselor at Peach County High School three years before transferring to Dublin Middle School where she served as Middle School Counselor for eight years. Ms. Brooks currently serves as the Lead Counselor at Thomson Middle School. Her motto is "Treat each child the way you would want someone to treat your child."
Shannon Johnson, 7th/8th Counselor
Mrs. Johnson attended the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Development. Afterwards, she attended Georgia State University where she received a Master's degree and Education Specialist degree in School Counseling. She began her career as a school counselor in Fulton County in Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Johnson moved to Middle GA after marrying her husband who serves in the United States Air Force. This is her 6th year as a school counselor and 2nd year as a counselor at Thomson Middle School. Whether you are in the building or distance learning, she looks forward to working with you and having a successful 2020- 2021 school year.
