Hey Guys!!! My name is Mrs. Tucker and I am so excited about the new school year at Thomson! Mostly, I am excited to finally see you guys again. It is going to be a great year with some exciting changes as well as some challenges we will navigate through together.
I am originally from Elberton, Georgia (The Granite Capital of the World). I belong to a very close-knit family, so I love going home to spend time with my extended family. I graduated from high school in 1982 then attended Middle Georgia College for two years. In 1984, I transferred to Georgia College where I graduated in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. I also hold two additional degrees a master’s in educational leadership from Mercer University and a specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.
I have been married to a wonderful man, Eddie, for 34 years. We have two amazing adult children, Ashlee Vickery (married to Matthew Vickery) and Dalton Tucker. We are also the proud grandparents of a one-year old grandson, Tucker Knox Vickery. We also have an 11-year-old Puggle (Baylee) an 8-year-old Beagle (Bentlee) and a 3-year-old Goldendoodle (Marlee). They all keep us very busy!!
You guys are going to help me make my 29th year in education and my 17th year at Thomson Middle School one of the best yet!!!
