Mrs. Lianne Herron has been the band director at Thomson Middle School since 2006. Mrs. Herron holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in Music Education from Kent State University. Mrs. Herron is a proud product of the Houston County School System where she attended Perry Middle School and Perry High School. Her professional affiliations include the Georgia Music Educator's Association (GMEA), Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), and the National Association for Music Education (NAFME).
Mrs. Herron's vision for her students is that they come to love creating music as much as she does. If she can enrich a student's life with music then she believes she has done her job. Mrs. Herron seeks to grow her student's confidence in themselves and challenge them to strive for what may at first seem unreachable. Set your goals high and work hard to achieve them.
