Hey!!! My name is Leigh Barrett and I am so excited about new school year at Thomson! More importantly, I am ecstatic to be your Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and FCCLA Adviser. It is going to a fun year full of learning and new adventures. We will be compassionate and flexible as we move throughout the year.

I was born and raised in Vienna, Georgia and love going home to visit my family. I attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton then The University of Georgia…GO Dawgs. I majored in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and love what I do. I also serve on the UGA Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Board.

I began teaching in 2007. I am excited for a new year and I am even more excited to be your teacher and learn all about my students. We are going a have a great year!!!
