My name is Ms. Carmona and I am a 6th grade math teacher here at Thomson Middle School. I am from Laredo, Texas, a small border town to Mexico, where I grew up and received my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Secondary Education and master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction Educational Technology. Following my studies, I taught high school mathematics for 4 years. Fall of 2023, I moved to Georgia and continued my teaching journey at Thomson Middle. I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students. In my classroom, I strive to make math fun and accessible, encouraging students to develop a love for the subject.
